If my daughter is half this thoughtful

I saw Michaela Riggle on Ellen this past week.  I never watched Ellen until I started working again, I swore I’d never be and “Ellen mom”.  Michaela has raised $200,000 by selling beaded bracelets and thanks to her, Kosair Children’s Hospital is accepting applications for an autism research study.  Her next goal?  She hopes to raises enough money to fund an autism center similar to St. Jude’s which will be able to treat children with autism regardless of their ability to pay.  How many tweens do you know who have their sights set that high?

It’s pretty awe-inspiring to see what kids/tweens/teens (and adults, too) can do when they really put their minds to it!

If anyone, tween or not, were that thoughtful, and committed! 🙂
